An Understated Beauty
The TH-58PZ700U does not look like it’s trying too hard. Instead, it lets the big screen speak for itself. The glass is surrounded by a thick glossy black bezel on all sides, with a door on the bottom to keep controls out of sight. Another hatch hides a slot for SD memory cards. Speakers–matching in color and barely noticeable–are set on both sides of the display. The understated look would be an elegant addition to any decor.

Outstanding Performance
The TH-58PZ700U is 1080p, meaning it has a full 1920 x 1080 resolution, the highest HD resolution available for the clearest and sharpest picture. Because its plasma display, the black levels are deep and the uniformity of brightness is superb. The unit has 4096 shades of gradation and has up to a 5000:1 contrast ratio. Video noise reduction circuitry and a digital comb filter make sure the picture on screen is always optimal. The TH-58PZ700U will upconvert any signal you feed it and display it at 1080p.
Connections
On the back, the TH-58PZ700U features two HDMI inputs, two component inputs, two composite inputs, and two S-Video inputs. Hidden beneath panels in front is another composite and S-Video input, a component video input, and a slot for SD cards. Insert an SD card filled with photos and you can watch a slide show with the built-in Photo Viewer software.
TV as an Art Gallery
The TH-58PZ700U includes GalleryPlayer software you can use to display high-definition art and photography on your TV. A free collection of images is included so your television can display art even when it’s not on.
One-Touch Convenience
When you use the Panasonic EZ-Sync technology to connect to other compatible EZ-Sync devices via the HDMI connector, you get one-touch control over all your home theater components. For example, with one touch of a button, you can turn on the DVD player, turn on the receiver, and set the DVD player as the source while also adjusting the sound level, turn on the TV–which will accept the input signal–and play the DVD. Instead of fumbling to find all the right buttons, you can watch your movies without wondering how to set everything up.

5 Stars Wonderful Picture
The TV arrived three days after placing my order !! I live in Oklahoma. The White Glove service was good. They took the TV out of the box and made sure it worked. Then they took the packing material and left. Don’t expect them to mount the TV that’s not part of the White Glove service. Later when some furniture was delivered I asked the delivery men to help lift the TV onto its stand. It weighs about 150 lbs. Then after connecting all the cables I asked the Cable guy to help lift it into the alcove where it stands today. He wasn’t supposed to help. Cox cable is afraid of liability issues. (Thanks Dave)The combined TV and stand weigh about 170 lbs. It’s not too difficult for two men to lift but with the cables attached can be a little awkward. It helps to have a third person work with the cables. Be sure you have all your cables planned out before you put it in place or have easy access to the rear - I don’t.
5 Stars Optimal Settings for PERFECTION
This TV Is simply stunning. Prepare to be slack jawed for quite some time. For those of you wanting to get film quality image reproduction out of this unit try the following settings. Give it one day after making the adjustments so your eyes can adjust to the change. The realism from these settings will produce images so lifelike that it will take your breath away.
The following figures contains the picture settings for the TH-58PZ700U after its ISF calibration. I highly suggest that you use these settings if you purchase or own this television. By configuring the television to the below settings I was able to get the color temperature to D6650K, a substantial improvement over the out-of-the-box measurement of D10000K+. Using the below settings to regulate the color temperature and white balance virtually perfects the picture of the TH-58PZ700U:

Outstanding picture from any distance or angle.HD from satalite is awsome as well as standard broadcast.Has enough hook ups for me since I only hook up satalite,dvd and wii.Remote is easy to learn,installation was easy with two people.Would highly recomend this TV to anyone.As always,Amazons delivery was on time and placed in my living room.The price I paid was about $1,000.00 less than I could get it localy with out delivery.Thanks Amazon.
5 Stars Amazing tv, talk about bang for your buck
I bought this tv and about 8 days later it arrived (a little long but no big deal). The delivery company did a good job and took great care of it when I was around. They told me that they were only obligated to deliver the tv to the door, but after asking very nicely, the deliver man agreed to help me carry it upstairs to my living room. (I gave him a nice tip for his effort). The packaging was very secure and Panasonic takes every precaution ensuring that the tv won’t be damaged during delivery. The picture on the tv is crystal clear, the HD is amazing and the SD is about as good as you can expect. The Playstation 3 in 1080p is absolutely phenomenal, much better than I ever could have expected, AND I’m only using a $2.50 HDMI cable that I also bought on Amazon. If you are on the fence, I would definitely recommend buying this tv, and for the price ($2,999 I paid) it’s a no-brainer. I haven’t found any downside to this tv and I have been looking for one.
